Recupel is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

This milestone provides the perfect opportunity to look ahead and reflect on the journey we have taken together.

In our new annual report, CEO Eric Dewaet and CFO Christel Vermeersch look back on Recupel's growth: from a pioneer in Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) to an organisation that is now helping shape the circular economy in Belgium.

We also take you through key milestones and highlight our achievements in 2025. Among other things, you'll discover how, together with Pommelien Thijs, we collected thousands of old mobile phones and how reuse continued to grow significantly.

About Recupel

Recupel is a non-profit organisation (asbl/vzw) that collects used electrical and electronic appliances, sustainably and free of charge, to give them a whole new lease of life. By promoting repairs and reuse, as well as facilitating recycling, we are committed to reducing the consumption of energy and raw materials. To achieve this, we rely on a number of partners within the circular chain.

 You can drop off your unwanted appliances at a second-hand store, recycling centre, electrical store or supermarket. Companies and organisations can request a collection via Recupel Pick-up.
